The Hands of Rishikesh
2003-2004
This project was created with an intention of bridging between cultures.
The focus on hands weaves a texture of human warmth, touch, sensitivity, pain, love and but above all: connections.
This unique journey brings a collection of details in the global picture, a journey in which hands carry the story of alienated men and women in a rigid society.
East and West are reflected in the liveliness of hands.
Flexibility, imagination, rigidness and softness, sensitivity and the lack of it.
The journey, which took place in Costa Rica, China, Japan, India, Israel, New York and Canada - Combined, and for me - still is - the spirit of one global earth.
The project was exhibited in "Bet Gabriel" Museum, Israel.
Hands of New York
And so I live in a dream world, war, violence, poverty, corruptions everywhere, I can't be touched by reality.
